Panasonic, orginally a division of the huge, industrial, Japanese giant Matsushita manufactures a competitively priced, full-featured line of canister and upright vacuums.  Like Sharp, Samsung and Sanyo, Panasonic offers considerably more quality in similar price ranges than does Hoover, Eureka or Dirt Devil.  We have been selling Panasonic vacuums since 1982 and our Panasonic customers, generally, have been well pleased with their Panasonic vacuums.

The most popular vacuums in the Panasonic line are the upright vacuums. These units offer large, efficient motors and, in most instances, tools-on-board (TOB) for convenience in dusting tables, lampshades, cleaning upholstery, corners, etc.  The better upright models feature a bare floor switch that will turn off the revolving brush when cleaning a bare floor (a spinning brush on a bare floor tend to scatter particles before they can be effectively removed).

Some Panasonic upright models feature a beltless drive system.  This will eliminate the need to change belts.  Some of the best upright vacuums, such as the Lindhaus and the Sebo (go here to connect to our webpage on Lindhaus vacuums; or, go here to connect to our webpage on Sebo vacuums), in distinction to the beltless drive Panasonic uprights, use cogged belts (fiberglass reinforced belts with cogged teeth) with protective systems to prevent/eliminate belt replacement.  The advantage to the latter is that it eliminates the somewhat relentless agitation of the Panasonic beltless system which can cause problems on certain carpets.

Panasonic has a premium line – called the Platinum line – of vacuums which we carry in-house.

Panasonic vacuums will provide good service for the money invested.  They are simply not in the same category as Miele, Lindhaus and Sebo vacuums; however, they make a good second choice if the above-named manufacturers are not selected.
